  Philippine Veterinary Drug Association (PVDA) A recognized umbrella organization of major and local multi-national companies operating in the country as manufacturers, importers and distributors of vital animal health products and offering relevant professional services to all potential clients.

Established in 1960, the PVDA now renders service to a growing roster of proactive member firms that voluntarily joined the association through a letter of intent and by submission of requirements prescribed under the PVDA by-laws. The major aims and objectives of the association are as follows: 1. To encourage its members to maintain constant and steady supply of veterinary drugs and other supplies that are essential in the development of the poultry and livestock industries in the country.
2. To assure that its members manufacture, import and sell veterinary drugs and other supplies of proper standard and quality as required by the government, the veterinary and allied professions.
3. To foster closer relationship and cooperation among its members.
4. To represent its members in different gatherings and discussions on issues related to the veterinary drug industry.The corporate mission and vision of the PVDA are all geared to meet challenges and opportunities in the over-all global arena of the livestock and poultry industries, including companion animals or pets and other domesticated fauna that are vital to bio-diversity and aesthetic needs of the country, its people and its natural resources for a balanced ecosystem.

Each and every member of the PVDA is guided by its Preamble as follows:

We, manufacturers, distributors, importers and exporters of veterinary drugs and supplies, imbued with the primordial desire to serve the poultry and livestock industry and companion animals; to raise and safeguard the standard of veterinary drugs in conformity with the existing pharmacy laws and regulation of the Bureau of food and Drug and the Bureau of Animal Industry; to work closely together in concerted efforts in bringing about better coordination, fair trading practices, cooperation and understanding with the allied professions and industries, considering above all the health and development of the poultry and livestock population and companion animals, have voluntarily agreed to uphold and adopt the laws governing our association.

  Philippine Swine Industry Research and Development Foundation Inc

Founded on November 11, 1988, formed after realizing the industry's need for a integrated approach either in the government or private sector in the research and development of the swine industry.

The principal Aims of the foundation are:

1. To conduct research and development projects on the swine industry such as but not limited to production, prevention and control of swine diseases, farm management, processing and marketing with end view of attaining economic advatages and benefits for the swine raisers in the country in particular.

2. To pursue an integrated research and development of the swine industry.

3. To acquire, develop and propagate improved and tested technology.

4. To train promising scientist, students, and swine raisers on various disciplines related to swine production, utilization and marketing.

5. To design and implement in coordination with universities both here and abroad scholarships and fellowships programs on academic fields that will enhance the development of the swine industry.

6. To organize and hold conferences, fora end seminars, whether local, regional or international, for the purpose of discussing current developments and issues on different aspects of the swine industry.

7. To establish, maintain and operate swine research centers and facilities as well as to establish, main information centers, which will provide among others, for interested scientist and scholars everwhere, a collection of the latest literature on swine industry.

8. To design and implement and farm extension program to effectively transfer moderm farm facilities to swine raisers.
